En el corazón de Arizona, la historia de Mario Yñiguez, o Mario WHY, como lo encontramos en Spotify, se desarrolla en un contexto de riqueza cultural y diversidad musical. Como descendiente de trabajadores migrantes, las raíces de Mario son profundas, entrelazando la herencia mexicana y americana. Su historia no es solo la de una ascendencia; es una narrativa de navegar complejidades de identidad en una sociedad moldeada por la asimilación y la adaptación.
El mosaico musical de Mario es emblemático y lleno de libertad y autenticidad cultural en medio de las expectativas sociales. Creciendo en un crisol de influencias, descubrió desde temprano que su identidad era una mezcla de tradiciones, idiomas y experiencias. Mario Yniguez es un compositor, intérprete y director que actualmente está terminando su licenciatura en Interpretación Vocal en ASU. Su banda de fusión de rock psicodélico, Harrison Fjord (voz principal/guitarra), fue nombrada recientemente la mejor banda en Phoenix y este año lanzó un nuevo álbum titulado Polychrome. En 2017, ganó un Premio AriZoni por su música original para la obra de teatro «Ida» del Orange Theater. Fue director de un coro a capella de jóvenes hombres y mujeres llamado Sounds of the Mouth, galardonado durante tres años. Actúa regularmente en musicales y producciones teatrales en la ciudad. Más recientemente, interpretó el papel de Feste y dirigió/musicalizó la producción de «Twelfth Night» de Southwest Shakespeare. Ha obtenido el primer lugar en la competencia de teatro musical de Arizona NATS cuatro veces y tres veces en la competencia de la Sociedad Nacional de Artes y Letras.

Mario Yniguez is a composer, performer, and director who is currently completing his Bachelor of Music in Vocal Performance at ASU. His psychedelic rock fusion band, Harrison Fjord (lead vocals/guitar), was recently named the best band in Phoenix and released a new album titled Polychrome this year. In 2017, he won an AriZoni Award for his original music for the play «Ida» at Orange Theater. He was the director of a young men’s and women’s a cappella choir called Sounds of the Mouth, which was awarded for three years. He regularly performs in musicals and theatrical productions in the city. Most recently, he portrayed the role of Feste and directed/musicalized Southwest Shakespeare’s production of «Twelfth Night.» He has won first place in the Arizona NATS musical theater competition four times and three times in the National Society of Arts and Letters competition.
